Hello Again

Hey peeps,

So for the time being I've been focusing more on developing my own website and less on blogging. I may come back to the blog and use it in conjunction with the website
but for now, if you're interested in seeing what I've been up to please click here to visit my website.

Feel free to leave comments here on the blog or to write me directly through the website. Cheers.

Out of sight out of mind

I haven't posted in ages and it's really quite pathetic. Not because I'm worried about letting the 'fans' down but because if I ever had any hope of having fans (or even friends) I'm doing myself a really big disservice by not blogging and not updating the website.

Hopefully within the next two weeks I'll have the opportunity to update the website and to begin posting on a regular basis. For the next few weeks I'll be busy finishing up some drawings for book trailer (not my own book but one by a very talented up and coming author who I will be sure to plug once the trailer's out) . Also, there's the day job which for better or for worse is getting busier ( I should really thank my lucky stars). Finally, at the end of May I'll be moving from Hoboken to Brooklyn, a development that's got me incredibly excited but that will no doubt consume time and resources in the form of money, energy and emotional integrity.

Thanks as always for reading.

WEBSITE UP!

Website up. A few glitches and blind spots especially if you're using Internet Explorer. I'll be on that. For now, the word is out!

Tabula Rasa

Hello doubtful readership,

With a new year comes new beginnings and as such I am making the switch from livejournal.com to blogger.com. There are a number of reasons for this.

First of all, while I've done no official research, my feeling is that blogger.com is a more popular site. It's not my intention to sell out for popularity's sake but I thought I'd join ranks with the overwhelming majority of bloggers who I read and know. And being a Gmail user I already have the Google account which is the prerequisite for starting a blog on Blogger. Essentially I am trying to whittle my web presence down to a number of key sites, namely this one, my own website, and of course of the unavoidable Facebook, Myspace and Twitter.

The second reason, and perhaps a more trifling one, is that I prefer the design of this site to that of Livejournal. When I say design I am speaking merely of aesthetics. I have very little idea about the operational differences between the sites. If at any point I have reason to believe that Livejournal is a great deal superior with respect to user-friendliness I will consider switching back.

I should mention also that this switch parallels the revamping of my own website which I am currently working on. I'm new to html and css and my decision to rebuild the website from the ground up means it's taking longer than it might otherwise take. But I'm happy with my progress so far and I'm looking forward to getting the site live and sharing it with all of you.

There's not much else to report. With only a limited amount of illustration projects on the horizon I've been focusing some of my attention on finally making good use of my electric guitar. Along with my roommate, Dan Salomon (aka the video-editing virtuoso who brought you the trailer for So Punk Rock)and Tim Slater, a grad school buddy of mine, I've begun renting out rehearsal studio time in Manhattan once a week. For now we are a trio, and we're trying to spin a sound of our own around surf rock classics, vintage Who and other old-fashioned rock & roll. We've even begun the painstaking process of whipping together some original material. This is really just for kicks but who knows? Maybe you'll see us in a club downtown sometime this century.

That's all for now. A happy and healthy new year to all.
